One memorable moment for me was taking part in the Pink Ladies Day on a sunny autumnal Friday in 2016. It was a charitable event raising awareness and funds for Breast Cancer. This particular event was made enjoyable not only because of the event itself, but also due to the preparation beforehand; meeting with my fellow team members and getting to know colleagues whom I had not dealt with on a regular basis before. From these discussions we all learned a little more about each other, we prepared our strategy, team name and outfits for the games. On the actual day, although it was ultimately a competitive event, it was more about the spirit in which we embraced each task; from changing a Land Rover car tyre, to paddle boarding and the ever faithful ‘tug of war’. We were able to swap team members in and out of each task based on their confidence and strengths. It was a heartfelt morning full of laughs, topped off with a lavish breakfast – what more could you want!
